Effective antenna amplifier to improve the signal. For an optimal picture, the receiver requires a certain level (size of the antenna signal measured in dBμV). If the level is too low, you need an antenna amplifier to boost the signal. The FP 4 iRL is an adjustable antenna amplifier with a gain of 20 dB and a control range of 0 to 10 dB.

Why is the FP 4 iRL adjustable? If the level is too low, you will get a poor picture or no picture at all. If the level is too high, the receiver will be overdriven with the result that you will also get a poor picture or no picture at all. You can now use the control to adjust (level) the amplified antenna signal for the receiver so that you get an optimum picture.

It is a misconception that maximum amplification also provides a maximum good picture. Instead, you must use the control to set an amplification that corresponds to the optimum level and therefore also produces the best picture.
