The HDMI media switch solves a widespread problem: with older television sets, a small number of pixels was sufficient to produce an optimum picture. On today's high-resolution devices with large screen diagonals, the picture is often blurred and out of focus - the full resolution of the TV sets is not optimally utilised. MAXTRACK's unique home entertainment control centre makes use of an effective technology: in what is known as upscaling, the incoming signals are upscaled to standard resolution and thus adapted to the resolution of the screen, significantly improving the picture quality. Instead of the picture appearing pixelated and blurred, as is the case with simple zoom, the sharpness of detail and brilliance of colour increase visibly thanks to scaling. LCD and plasma devices can display a picture in high-definition quality of up to 1080p: That means Full HD!

The control centre has two HDMI connections for newer DVD or Blue-Ray players, analogue audio and video inputs for games consoles and two VGA connections for connecting to the computer. All incoming analogue video and audio signals are converted into digital, optimised HDMI signals. This increases the capacity of the television: older sets in particular often only have a few connections and no inputs for computers. Thanks to the media centre, various DVD players, games consoles and computers can now be connected at the same time.

No more unnecessary cable clutter: The signals from all connected sources are routed to the TV set via just one cable from the HDMI media switch. You can switch between the connections using the remote control or a switch on the front panel. In addition, the gold-coloured connections ensure optimum signal transmission, while the metal housing protects against destructive interference from other devices.
